Up Dates

It has been a while since I have posted anything on this Blog. I am sitting n a Hospital room waiting for my lunch to be delivered. I have been diagnosed with heart failure in which the heart is not doing its job very well. Since late Saturday afternoon I have been here and hope to go home Wednesday.

Have spent two and a half days gong to the bathroom about every 20 minutes. I was given a large doses of a water pill twice daily and the Nurses kept a chart of how many ounces I was delivering each day.

The food in this Hospital was excellent  beyond words. Today as I was eating lunch I was honored with a visit from a therapy dog by the name of Teddy. is a samoyed and pure white. He was a very friendly animal and His owner just as friendly.

Back in 2007 I began a Blob to keep my mind moving. I had just graduated from a Purdue Regional Campus(Purdue North Central) and learned  I love to write so I began  again. Then Facebook began and 3 of my friends I had meet through Blogging went to Facebook, so I did to to keep up with my two daughters and a some friends. The blog got forgotten about and when I wanted to go back on I had forgotten my log in and password.  So in 2014 I began another one and no one visited or left a comment. Then  in the Spring of 2016 I decided to put Windows 10 on my laptop and again I forgot my password, but was able to remember it so I started writing again. and of all things we had to send our Laptop to the repair shop and decided to have Windows 8 put back on. So here I am with number 3rd new Blog. This time I have everything written down in in a place I can remember.

With this Blog I hoping someone will visit and leave a comment.  I would love to meet other individuals who have a love of writing and a love of God.

A Great Day

This past February I became Crop Insurance Agent. It took a two day class and pass a test to receive my licenses  to sell to farmers. I work for two young men who are teaching me how to handle the paper work required to the Underwriters of the Companies we sell for.  The three of us sell for two Crop Insurance Companies.

What a beautiful day for a drive to visit Insurance Clients.  This time of the year the Government requires all Agents in the United States to visit each client to get what is called Acres Reports. These reports tell of how many acres of corn and beans have been planted and where on their farms. So I visited two farmers in North East Indiana this afternoon. These reports are due by July 15th.

Looking

Since this is a different Blog for me, I decided to look at a few blogs. Interesting roaming from news, to politics, to out of our Country to a different country. I would like to get to know others individuates who enjoy Blogging.

A little about the farms we own and live on. The farm my Hubby received from his parents is 3 miles from the one we live on. The one we live on is about 45 acres, with our house and out buildings. We have lived here since July of 1993. At that time we lived in a new trailer. We put up 3 buildings to farrow sows in and raises hogs  to sell at 250 pounds. Also, we raised corn and beans.   On the farm 3 miles away it is 42 acres. We moved our hogs over to this farm and farrow in individual sow houses and sell most as feeder pigs from 40 to 60 pounds  and a few as fat hogs. Our raising of hog on this land is called Free Range. Corn and beans are raised here to. We have a smaller house on this land and for the past 23 years we have rented to the same family.

I blog to keep my mind moving. It is a good place for me to unwind at night.

Introduction of my new Blog

This is my third Blog. Had a problem with our Lap Top so the person who worked on it put Windows 8 back on. I had forgotten my pass word for my 2nd blog, so here I am. No one came to the second one so it became a journal for me.

I am married to a farmer for 47 years of ups and downs. We have two grown daughters who live Michigan. The oldest is now 37 and has been married 5 years and expecting their second son. Their first born is Andrew Micheal born on January 9, 2014. Our second is 35 and has been married 12 years and just gave birth to a very special baby girl on April 18 2016, 5 weeks early. Her name is Bethany Joy. She came in to the world weighing 3 pounds and 3 ounces, and 16 and 1/2 inches. Today she weighs over 7 pounds and is over 19 inches. One son-in-law works for the state of Michigan at the State House and the other son-in-law is a Youth Minister for a Wesleyan Church.

Now about myself. I was born and raised in Sheldon, Illinois. Graduated from Sheldon High School in 1966. Then that fall I when to Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Illinois where I met my future husband and spent 2 years learning  about how to be a Church Secretary. What I became on the day of our wedding, April 5, 1969, was a farmers wife who spent 17 years learning how to like hogs and prepare ground and harvest  corn and soybeans. Then for a few years worked in 3 different factories. After a time near the time my girls went to college, I decided to go back and earn a degree. Purdue University North Central. With the support of Hubby and daughters I spent 8 years meeting wonderful people of many different ages, being in 2 clubs, and Student Government  for 2 years. In one club I was President for 3 years and in one Treasurer for 1 year. I graduated May of 2007. with a full degree in O.L.S., Going part time and taking 5 math classes before getting to the first of 2 math classes, 126 classes in all. My favorite classes were World and American History, English, and Lit.

This Blog will continue to be a journal. With some ranting of ideas I have. I am a Born again baptized Christian.
