The weekend of March 6th and 7th Hubby were able to drive up in to Michigan to see our children and grandchildren to celebrate Christmas and our oldest Grandson 4th birthday. What a wonderful time we had.
We spent Saturday night with our youngest daughter, her husband, and Granddaughter Bethany. We went out to eat and had one of the better evening meal we have had in a while. In fact I had to take 3/4 of my meal home to have for lunch on Monday. PAPA John found Bethany's Christmas gift of a toy vanity that she fell in love with. Sunday morning we heard our Son-In-Law preach a wonderful sermon on Rahb.
Then we traveled to Lancing to visit with our Oder daughter, her husband, and our two Grandsons Andrew and Samuel. A wonderful time was had passing out Christmas gifts. The boys liked the books and puzzles. Andrew turned 4 on January 9th. I was able to find Thomas the Train for him from a friend of mine. It is two boxes of trains, buildings, and a box of tracks. Andrew was so happy he jumped up and down and yelled Thomas the Train.

BOYS
This afternoon I am sitting in a Convenience Store playing on the computer. It is after school and two young mothers come in with their sons. Two of the boys see their Grandfather and are so happy to see him. They introduce two friends to Grandpa and all four start picking out snacks. Grandpa is leaving so the boys give hugs and say good buy and sit down be side me.
What fun I had talking to the four boys and their Moms. Because I am still learning about boys so I start asking questions about school and their ages. Oldest was 11, his brother was 7, one friend was 6 and his brother was 4. Conversation began and what fun it was for me to be involved.
I knew at once that the two Mothers were friends and I asked if they loved raising boys, with the answer being yes from both of them. Very nice ladies as I cared on a conversation with them.
After raising two girls it has been very interesting to have two Grandsons and learning that boys are so, so different from girls.

Sitting Here With Memories
I am sitting here in a Convenience Store with teenage girls sitting by me visiting and having fun after school before going home. Even though I am 69 and old enough to be their Grandma I am remember being their age and sitting and visiting with my friends before going to my job baby sitting with 3 small children. The resterurant had a fountaint where I always ordered 7 cent cherry cokes.
I have been out of school 51 years and three of my High School friends have died in the past few years. I would like to say to the girls look, someday in the future you will be my age and look back and remember the good things said, done, and lived. Though I will not say a word I will pray for them and all teenagers living in this world. My Hubby just came in so I will continue tomorrow.
Well, here I am back to write more. Being a farmers wife is interesting in going to a Farm Show on the varieties of corn and beans. We had a wonderful meal and leaned about going Organic with the crops we raise. While visiting with a young couple with a 5 year old boy, I was remembering bringing our 2 daughters to this show and realizing it has been over 30 years and so time has flown by. My best memory is the time we were coming home, being on a 4 lane road. A collage bus passed us with football players on it. The girls waved and the bus driver honked the horn and the team waved to them The team was from Purdue where our oldest wanted to go when she grew up.

Now John
In December I was in and out of the hospital and now it is my Husband's turn. Date is Aug. 12th. A week ago Hubby was working on a deck we are building on to the back of our house. He put up a ladder to climb up. As He started up the ladder the ladder kicked out and Hubby went down and bruised His left leg. Within a couple of days His leg was swelling up so we went Urgent Care. Did not get any pain medication. So yesterday we are back to Urgent Care and saw a Doctor who new her business. She sent us to the Emergency Room. They took e-rays and did blood work. Hubby was told He would be staying a couple days in the Hospital to bring down the swelling and address the other issues like INR was up to high, so vitamin K was given. Pain medication given ever 3 hours and a different Antibiotic was given because the blood work showed He may have a Staff infection in His left leg.
Today is day one in the process of getting Him well. The pain meds are given every 3 hours, the antibiotic given. Tomorrow He will be able to go home if all is well and next week to be back for many more tests. I am not sure what medication will be put on the list.

These are pictures of our daughters, Carrie and Michelle and their husbands Jarrod and Matt. I am so glad for these four Prayer warriors for this time of illness. Dad and daughters have been talking back and forth about the reports and what the Doctor wants to do.
For me it has been the second time of seeing my Mate in pain and it has been very hard not to break down. I know God is here and is in charge of the situation and assisting the Doctor and Nurces in their job of working as a team to make my Husband well and home.

Up Dates
It has been a while since I have posted anything on this Blog. I am sitting n a Hospital room waiting for my lunch to be delivered. I have been diagnosed with heart failure in which the heart is not doing its job very well. Since late Saturday afternoon I have been here and hope to go home Wednesday.
Have spent two and a half days gong to the bathroom about every 20 minutes. I was given a large doses of a water pill twice daily and the Nurses kept a chart of how many ounces I was delivering each day.
The food in this Hospital was excellent beyond words. Today as I was eating lunch I was honored with a visit from a therapy dog by the name of Teddy. is a samoyed and pure white. He was a very friendly animal and His owner just as friendly.
